Jalandhar 26 October (Jaswinder Azad)- n 24th October’ 2016 (Monday), Eklavya School observed the United Nations Day in order to make the children aware of the aims and achievements of the United Nations Organisation. The children were told that this day is celebrated to maintain international peace and security.
The students made beautiful posters and did slogan writing on the United Nations Day. Poorva Bhatt (8th Std.) gave presentation on the aims and objectives of the United Nations Day. The students conducted group discussion on how the citizens can maintain peace and build a healthy planet by going hand in hand. The students also discussed about the rights of a citizen and presented their view points that how they can maintain peace with their neighbouring countries. The educator told them that how this organization came into existence and discussed its role. They also came to know about the various objectives on which the United Nations Organisation is working.
The Director, Ms Seema Handa, the Manager, Ms Sapna Bakshi & the Principal, Ms Dimpal Sharma said that these kinds of days must be observed in the schools among the students in order to highlight the importance of these days and make every child a responsible citizen.
