Jalandhar 13 October (Jaswinder Azad)- The School of Information Technology organized IT Quiz Contest in the campus. A total of 18 Teams of MCA, MBA and BCA participated in the contest. After the screening round, 4 teams qualified for the final round. The competition consisted of three rounds. In the first round, participants were judged on the basis of General Awareness about IT industry. In the Second Round, students were made to identify Audios and Visuals. They had to identify the renowned personalities in the field of Information Technology. In the Third round, students had to identify the CEOs of renowned organizations. There were questions for the Audience also. After the exciting competition, Neha Rall, Harpal Singh and Manish Rana of BCA V bagged the first position. Harmanpreet Singh, Simarpal Singh and Jagpreet Singh of BCA I secured the second position. Prizes were given away to the winners by Dr.Kulwant Kaur, Dean School of Information Technology.
Dr. Rajesh Bagga, lauded the efforts of the School of IT for organizing the event. He said that such competitions have great educational significance as it helps to polish the inherent talent of the students.
