Jalandhar 27 November (Jaswinder Azad)- Every year Eklavya School hosts Sahodaya Inter School Competitions. This year Sahodaya Inter School Math Project Competition was held at Eklavya School, Jalandhar on 26th November. The endeavour of this event was to promote interest in Math and its methodologies amongst the young generation and to get them motivated through interaction with fellow students. More than 30 CBSE schools from Jalandhar and surrounding areas had participated. The competition started at sharp 10.00 am and students were divided into two categories according to their classes. Students were given different topics related to Math in daily life, Mensuration, Trigonometry etc. They were given with the size limit size limit 5ft × 2.5ft and to work on the concept, creativity & imagination. Its design, utility, Technical skills, portability and durability were the main aspects to be observed by the jugdes. The students were very excited and their work came out with excellent innovative ideas. Four eminent personalities from different prestigious institutions were invited as judges for fair judgment. Mr. Balvinder Singh, Mr Yogesh, Mr. Nitin K Mishra, Ms. Sucheta Jain Assistant Professor in Education Department of Lovely Professional University, Ms. Meera Aggarwal, Mr. S.K Sarkar from Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Ms. Pomil Arora, H.O.D faculty of communication and media, GNA University, Mr. Sushant Anand, Assistance professor in communication and media, GNA University were the prominent judges. It was a difficult task for the judges also to do the judgment as all the participants were extremely talented.
The Director of Eklavya School Ms Seema Handa congratulated the winners, Manager, Ms Sapna Bakshi appreciated the efforts put in by all the participants and Ms. Dimpal Sharma, Principal Eklavya School advised the other participants not to lose hope as failure is the first step towards success. A short speech was also given by the judges to boost the morale of all the participants.
