Jalandhar 27 January (Jaswinder Azad)- Eklavya School Jalandhar observed The International Day in memory of the victims of the Holocaust. The theme of celebrating emphasises the universal dimension of Holocaust education as a platform for building respect for human rights, increasing tolerance and defending our common humanity. Rally was conducted to spread knowledge and to promote education for the better future. Children could compare present scenario with that of the past. The students of middle school did role play in the assembly.
The Director of Eklavya School Ms. Seema Handa also appreciated this effort and said we all must go beyond remembrance and make sure that new generations know this history. Ms. Sapna Bakshi, Manager Of Eklavya School also shared her views and said we must apply the lessons of the Holocaust to today’s world. And we must do our utmost so that all peoples may enjoy the protection and rights for which the United Nations stands. Ms. Dimpal sharma Principal of the school advised the students to be more active citizens in today’s societies.
