Jalandhar 26 April (Gurkirat Singh)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, the Heritage Institution promotes national culture and patriotism in all possible ways and NCC is one large youth organization that works in tandem with KMV's vision of promotion of nationalism and women empowerment. The story of S/Uo Shabnam a first generation learnner is a success story worth emulating. Hailing from an economically backward section of society she took up N.C.C. with dreams of a better future in 2014. In 2017 her dreams have fructified in the form of her achievements. She was declared Ist in NCC C-Certificate exam as she scored the maximum marks amongst more than thirteen thousand NCC cadets of the Group. She received commanders certificate of excellence and trophy for the same. A cash incentive of four thousand five hundred was also given to her. S/Uo Sunaina also from the KMV NCC Sub-unit was declared the best firer of the jalandhar group as she got full marks in Inter-Battalion firing competition. She received gold medal and certificate from the jalandhar group commander for the same. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the cadets for their exemplary performance. She interacted with the other cadets also and promised guidance regarding entry into army through NCC special entry scheme and also open category.
