Jalandhar 8 April (Jaswinder Azad)- Prof. Surinder Singh Matharu, an eminent Gurmat Sangeet Scholar from UK paid a visit to Lyallpur Khalsa College to address the students of the Department of Music. College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra welcomed Prof. Matharu with a bouquet and honored him a special souvenir on behalf of the college. Prof. Matharu then shared his valuable views on various ragas and forms of Gurmat Sangeet prevalent overseas which was followed by a musical presentation by the students of the department. Other members from UK also accompanied the chief guest on this occasion which was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Principal Dr. GS Samra. Also present on the occasion were Prof. Sukhdev Singh, Prof. Pavittar Singh and Prof. Daljit Singh from the Department of Music.
