Summer camp at KMV inaugurated : Attracts huge amount of students

Jalandhar 31 May (Gurkirat Singh)- At Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Heritage Institution, Jalandhar a summer camp under DDU Kaushal Kendra was inaugurated. The classes will be held from May 31, 2017 to June 15, 2017. The highlight of the camp is that it is absolutely free of cost for girls above the age of 14 years. The summer camp at KMV offers a variety of courses. These range from Cooking, Spoken English, IT Skills, Dance, craft and designing to beauty care. The camp has attracted an overwhelming number of participants and in some courses the number was already gone beyond 100. The classes for cooking, craft & designing and spoken English will be going on from June 1, 2007 to June 7, 2017 where as the classes for IT skills, dance and beauty care will commence from June 8, 2017 & will conclude on June 14, 2017. Those who are not students of the college are also welcome for the above courses. It is open to homemakers and professionals as well. Mrs. Seema Jain, Head, PG Department of English & organizer of the camp and Dr. Kamaljeet, Head PG department of music inaugurated the summer camp.  Addressing the students Mrs. Seema Jain congratulated the volunteers on having joined the camp as they had decided to gain fully employ themselves during the summer vocation. She also wished them a pleasant stay at KMV during the course and said that she was sure that it was going to be a gainful and learning experience. On this occasion Dr. Gurjot, Dean, ECA, also made a presentation & engaged the students in some interesting from activities. Ms. Geetika, Ms. Manmeet, Ms. Shallu, Ms. Gorvi, Ms. Anita, Ms. Gaytri, Ms. Rinkle, Ms. Gurdeep and  Ms. Jasdeep were also present on the occasion.
