DAV College Jalandhar "Investor Awareness Program & Motivational talk" was organised on World Savings Day

Jalandhar 1 November (Jaswinder Azad)- PRO department of DAV College, Jalandhar organised a seminar on "Investor Awareness Program and Motivational talk" on the occasion of World Savings Day. The objective of this seminar was to teach the women to save money and put them in the right place during the inflation period so that they could be saved from the problem of money in the future. The main speaker of this seminar was Dr BP Gupta. Vice Principal Prof. V.K. Sareen, President PRO Manish Khanna, Teacher Incharge PRO Jyoti Vardhan Mahajan welcomed and presented bouquet of flowers to Dr BP Gupta.
Dr. BP talked about financial problems coming from life in this seminar and how to get out of it. He said that life is not difficult, but we have made it difficult. He told students about savings and investment through presentation. He explained how we can make a profit by investing in mutual funds and SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) correctly. He said, People in India today are afraid to invest money in mutual funds and SIPs. They feel that this is linked with stock exchange market and a speculative act and money can sink into it. But all this is false. Today if we invest money by understanding someone from a good investment profession and by preparing our portfolio, we can make a profit. Today we can get all the information about our investment through internet. How much profit is being made, in which company we have invested our money, who has invested our money and which company has the advantage of investing money. We can start depositing slightly more than 500 rupees a month which will benefit us in the future.
Vice Principal V.K. Sareen gave information about mutual funds and sip to students The amount deposited by a large number of investors is called a mutual fund, which is put into a fund. The fund manager uses his investment management skills to invest this money in various financial instruments. Mutual funds invest in many ways, which determines their risk and returns. While SIP works on the principle of investment on a regular basis. This is like a recurring deposit in which you put a few small amount of money every month. In this, instead of investing huge money at one time, you have the freedom to invest a short term (monthly or quarterly) in a mutual fund.
President PRO Manish Khanna thanked Dr. BP Gupta for giving his valuable time and knowledge to the students. He said that this seminar was kept especially for girls because a girl carries a whole house after marriage. It should be aware of savings and investment in today's world run-off and inflation. And from today's seminar, they got the knowledge of all this which will benefit them in the future In the end, he congratulated the college's PR team for the success of the seminar.
