Journalism students of CT lifts overall trophy in Udaan’17

Students win first prizes in News Flash, Aditivity and documentary
Jalandhar 1 November (Jaswinder Azad)- The students of Journalism and Mass Communication, CT Institute, Shahpur are on cloud nine as they have bagged the overall trophy in one of the most awaited media fests at Chitkara University titled ‘Udaan 2017’. More than 25 colleges and university campuses across North India participated in the fest. Besides performing well in academics, these budding media professionals have managed to bring laurels to institute by winning three ‘first’ prizes in News Flash, Aditivity and Documentary and two ‘second’ prizes in MOJO (Mobile Journalism) and Tooncature.
Povietpreet Kaur bagged first prize in News Flash, Mohd. Aamir Khan, Ujjwal Mattoo and Lovely Yadav won first prize in documentary, Kulwinderjeet Kaur, Navdeep Singh and Akash Singh managed to bag first prize in Aditivity. The second prize in Tooncature and MOJO were won by Dharamvir, Ratnakar Mishra and Ravi Shankar respectively.
Dr. Seema Arora, Principal CTIHS applauded the efforts of the students and said, “These young minds have proved their mettle by participating in various events and then bringing the overall trophy for the department. It’s a huge victory as well as motivation for these media students as it will further boost their morale and would help them in facing more tough competition in future.”
S. Charanjit S Channi, Chairman and Mr. Harpreet Singh, Vice-Chairman of CT Institutes also congratulated the students on this achievement and further motivated them to keep working hard in the field of media.
