Jalandhar 14 July (Jaswinder Azad)- CT Group of Institutions and Jalandhar Police Commissionerate organised first Leadership Summit, a workshop on becoming effective leaders, at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur campus. The keynote speaker of the event was Commissioner of Police, Sh. Praveen Kumar Sinha, IPS, Jalandhar.
The participants that attended the event included names like Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Chairman SGTB Institute of Management, Mr. Jasdeep Bawa from VCN, leading choreographer Gaggun Bedi, Fashion Designers Siddharth Kakkar and Farah Sanjana, Ms. Adwaita Tewari from Vetsfarma, Councillor Rohan Sehgal, Social Activists Anjali Dada and Vivek Joshi, Actor Balraj Khaira, Radio Jockey Deepak Sharma, Mr. Harpreet Khattar from Harkash Technology Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Rattandeep Singh from Asian Cranes etc.
Chairman S. Charanjit S Channi welcomed the guests and said that effective leadership is one of main factors of any successful venture.
Mr. PK Sinha started the event by defining the term Leadership. On asking participants to define the term in one word, they came up with meaningful words like Responsibility, Team building, Dynamism, Discipline, Accountability, Vision, Sacrifice etc. Mr. Sinha later continued the session with interactive business activities like 7-7-7 and Leadership in Action: The Hollow Square. The activities amused the participants and lot of brainstorming was put in finding the outcomes of the exercises.
Social Activist Anjali Dada said, “Well, it was a wonderful experience for me to attend such an intellectual workshop that discussed various traits of being a leader. The models that keynote speaker shared will surely be helpful for me because I am leading so many lives of kids dealing with autism.”
Ms. Adwaita Tewari, HR expert shared, “I seriously didn’t know that this event will be of such great significance and full of learning. Having years of Human Resource experience, I still learned a lot many things regarding business and leadership today. The personal experiences of the keynote speaker motivated me and I observed that its only effective leadership that can take you to the heights.”
Keynote speaker Sh. Praveen Kumar Sinha, Commissioner of Police said, “It’s one of the wonderful initiatives taken by CT Group. The audience included people from different walks of life. Being a designer, RJ, writer, social activist or an entrepreneur, everyone who is into profession has leadership qualities. If he is influencing anyone, then he is a leader. People feel hesitant bringing change into their lives as they don’t want to come out of their comfort zone. But, one who is ready to bring change then his growth is promising.”
Mr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group thanked Police Commissionerate and participants for making this event a great success and is looking forward to organize similar intellectual and enlightening events in the campus.
