Jalandhar 31 August (Jaswinder Azad)- An educational tour to Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Chandigarh organised by the Pol. Science Deptt. of HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School. It was arranged under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The students were accompanied by the school coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal, Dr. Rajiv Kumar (Pol. Sc. Deptt.), Ms. Avantika Randev (Zoology Deptt.), Ms. Jaspreet Kaur (Eng. Deptt.). The students witnessed the live proceedings of the legislative assembly as well as about the functioning of vidhan sabha. It was their first hand experience of the system of governance. The reporter from zee news channel also interviewed the students about the current political matters in which students expressed their ideas and opinions with zeal and compassion. The students appreciated the debate ensued. This visit was informatice for the students. Thereafter, students were taken to Rock Garden which was again a delighting experience to see some creative stuff made out of recycled material. Students enjoyed watching Panjab University, Chandigarh. It was an illuminating experience for the students.
