Jalandhar 11 August (Jaswinder Azad)- Department of Psychology of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organized a Guest Lecture on Cognitive Therapy in which Dr. Sunita Vasudev enlightened the students as the resource person. Dr. Sunita Vasudev is a renowned Psychologist who has earned her name in clinical psychology with her continued devotion of more than 12 years in this field. Not only this, she is a CBT practitioner acknowledged by USA and also has the degree of specialization in Cognitive Therapy from the esteemed ‘Back Institute for Cognitive Behaviour, USA’. She presented her valuable thoughts on the sufferings of females under the nuisance of patriarchal system. She also spread a word of awareness regarding mental disorders. Principal Dr. Sucharita expressed her gratitude to Dr. Sunita Vasudev and shared her views that though the times have changed and females have secured their position in the society, still the corners of the world are filled with discrimination for them. She said such lectures are need of the hour to aware females of their rights and arm up students to fight against the hardships of the society.
