Soha Ali Khan shared fun moments at CT Group of Institutions at the Promotional event of her Upcoming Movie “31st October”

Jalandhar 2 September (Jaswinder Azad)- Actress Soha Ali Khan who will next seen in the Upcoming Movie 31 October- a film set on the day when former Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi was shot dead by her bodyguard. The film documents the riots that took place where the Sikh community was targeted in Delhi after Mrs. Gandhi's death. The leading Actress of the Movie, Soha Ali Khan was welcomed by CT Group of Institutions on Friday at their Shahpur Campus. The Actress paid visit to the campus to promote her movie. The trailer of the movie shows how a family tries to escape the violence that breaks out in the city soon after the news breaks. The film has already been screened at the London Film Festival earlier this year.
Soha Ali Khan features in director Shivaji Lotan Patil's with the Lead Actor Vir Das shedding more light on the plot, she said, "The film is story of 24-36 hours. It's a dark day in our Indian history. There are loopholes in our legal system. But if people understand that how people from other communities help this Sikh family then our purpose behind making this film is served." The movie is set to release on September 7, 2016.
In the meantime, a collective effort was made by the members of the management and students to give her the cherishing moments from the event. The members of CT Music Society (the Musical group of CT Group Institutions’ International Students) performed latest Punjabi Songs including Patiala Peg, Laden in their special accent at the event. At the same time, a Student from Kashmir, Suja sung the songs from the actress’ previous movies and from the upcoming one. All the performers won accolades and appreciation from the guests.

Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions), Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) and Mr. Harpreet Singh (Vice- Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) honoured Soha Ali Khan with the Pencil Sketch created by the students of CT Institute of Architecture and Planning (CTIAP). They also wished her and the team with good wishes for the success of the movie.
