CT Group of Institutions & JMA organized Education Conclave 2016

  • The conclave focused on “Changing the Learning Path: Teaching to Gen Y” theme.

Jalandhar 3 November (Jaswinder Azad)- Visualization is very important for the students as well as for the teachers that makes the process of the studying and teaching uncomplicated. Striving on this topic, the Education Conclave 2016 was organized by CT Group of Institutions in association with Jalandhar Management Association (JMA) at Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium, Shahpur Campus on Thursday. The conclave was organized on “Changing the Learning Path: Teaching to Gen Y.” At the event, experts from different field attended the event and shared their salubrious thoughts in the panel discussions viz- Teaching to Gen Y: Using Digital Technology in Education and Inputs for Gen Next: Skill based Curriculum for better employability.
The event was inaugurated by S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions), Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) and Mr. Ahsan ul Haq (President, JMA) in the presence of other dignitaries, members of the management, faculty and students.
The first panel discussion was held on Teaching to Gen Y: Using Digital Technology in Education topic in which Prof. Amit Kauts (Dean, Faculty of Education, GNDU, Amritsar), Prof. P.K. Tulsi (Head, Education and Educational Management Department, NITTR, Chandigarh), Ms. Pallavi Pareek (Co-Founder, Ipleaders, New Delhi), Sh. Pawan Kumar Singh (Nodal Officer & Project Advisor, IIM, Amritsar​), Sh. S.Z. Khan (Sr. Divisional Security Commissioner, RPF , Ferozepur), Mr. Simarpreet Singh (Director, Hartek Group, Chandigarh) shared their experiences and give exemplary viewpoint to the students.
Ms. Pallavi Pareek (Co-Founder, Ipleaders, New Delhi) said that the technological development helps the students to learn and get aware about more and more things. Such technological developments need to be encouraged. Prof. P.K. Tulsi (Head, Education and Educational Management Department, NITTR, Chandigarh) exhorted on the implementation of technological tools and equipments for the upliftment of education system, our students and our society.
While in the Second panel discussion held on Inputs for Gen Next: Skill based Curriculum for better employability- Mr. Rajan Malhotra (Head of Sectors & Special Projects, The institution of Engineering and Technology, India, Prof. Bikramjit Singh Mann (Head, Department of University Business School, GNDU), Mr. Nalin K Rai (DDM, Nabard, Ludhiana), Mr. Paramjeet Singh (Principal Director, Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Chandigarh) and Mr. Sudhir Gera (Director Operations, Kirloskar IEC Genset Ltd.), they said that it is visible today, that digital technology put up its roots in Education Sector and World is changing so Fast perhaps we wish it should. The discussion acknowledged how to face various challenges in latest Education System where teaching to the Millennial Generation needs to be reinvented and reoriented.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) said that the ultimate aim of education is not knowledge, as preparation for life in this world or for life beyond, but for complete realization of the self.  While acknowledging the presence of every individual in the conclave, he said, “The Education Conclave 2016 focused on creating multiple strategies for teaching to Gen Y owing to the unique relation with the digital technology seen as an integral part of their lifestyles and reflecting in their learning styles. Further, experts from academia, industry, and society discussed approaches for the inclusion of skills in the curriculum and provided future directions to the students, teachers, educators and policy makers with an attempt to synchronize education system with the needs of current generation.”
