Jalandhar 8 November (Jaswinder Azad)- P.G. Department of Biotechnology, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar conducted the first day of DST-INSPIRE SCIENCE INTERNSHIP CAMP-2016. This camp will commence from 8th Nov. and continue till 12th Nov, 2016. In the inaugural ceremony 150 students from various Meritorious School of Punjab participated. Co-Ordinator Cum Head dept of Biotechnology Dr. Arun Dev Sharma gave opening remarks about this camp. Worthy Principal of College Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra addressed the participants. Dr Inderjit Kaur welcome and introduced the kay note speaker, Dr. K.L. Chopra Padamshri Awardee, Former Director IIT, Kharagpur. He is the founder of this film laboratory, IIT, Delhi Dr. Chopra delivered a vivacious talk on the basic of Physics:- ‘FROM ATOMS TO NANOMATTER” He discussed the Abinitio creation of matter, various principles geophysics. He also explained the strategies for creating Nanomatter. The emphasized that education should be translational.
The Seminar was followed by international session with students. After the seminar students have performed practicals in various department (Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology). During the whole function Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Registrar of college, Prof. Arunjit Kaur, Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, Prof. Gobind, Dr. Inderjeet Kaur, Dr. Shelly Gupta, Prof. Vijayeta & Prof.Shubhneet Kaur Present to grace the occasion.
