Jalandhar 13 November (Jaswinder Azad)- Children's Day -- a day dedicated to children -- is observed in Eklavya School, Jalandhar in a grand way to celebrate childhood. This celebration aims to promote the wellbeing of children. Eklavaya School celebrated Children's Day with a range of innovative and fun filled activities at the school that seems much as a festival. Various competitions, Children's Day poems, dance and feast is organized by school and made it a special day for children to enjoy. Program hosted by Ms. Rajwinder Kaur and Ms. Jyoti (Educator) which was followed by the speech given by Ms. Rashni (Educator). Special talent hunt was planned for the students and they really took initiative to showcase their hidden talents. They came up with creative ideas and few of them had written poetic lines. They made everyone laugh with Ad mad shows. Children presented beautiful songs in their melodious voice.
A group of students presented a mesmerizing dance on the mash up of ‘Taare Zameen par’. Different classes did various activities like Trust game, Tug of war, Clay modelling, yoga, Plantation. Balancing the ballon game, touching different coloured ballons, newspaper dance one minute porter were made on the stage. A movie was shown to Pre Primary Children. Teaching staff also sang songs for them. Non teaching staff also gave their best wishes to them. Ms. Priya (maid) wished them in Enslish and Mr. Amritpal Singh (Driver) wrote a song for the school and Mr. Varinder (Conductor) sang that song for everyone. Gifts were given to the students and appreciation badges were given to the students for their participation.
On the occasion Ms. Seema Handa (Director Eklavya School) shared the significant of the festivity so that children desreve a better future and life. Ms. Sapna Bakshi (Manager) said various activities of Children's Day was to identify the hidden potential, recreation, health, cultural and social needs of children. Ms. Dimpal Sharma (Principal) appreciated the whole event with beautiful poetic lines and gave her best wishes to the students.
