IKG PTU organized Joint Campus Placement Drive of Jindal Electrical and Machinery Corporation at CT Group of Institutions

  • As many as 105 students of 2016 Passed out and 2017 passing out batches from IKG PTU and GNDU participated in the drive.
  • 27 students shortlisted for the final interview round.
Jalandhar 5 November (Jaswinder Azad)- IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) conducted Jindal Electrical and Machinery Corporation’s Joint Campus Training and Placement Drive at Shahpur Campus of CT Group of Institutions. As many as 105 students of 2016 passed out and 2017 passing out batches of B. Tech (EE/EEE) and Diploma participated in the drive from IKG PTU and Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) affiliated colleges of the region.
The participating college was CT Institute of Engineering, Management & technology (CTIEMT), CT Institute of Technology (CTIT), CT Polytechnic College, DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology (DAVIET), Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC), S. Sukhjinder Singh Polytechnic College (Gurdaspur) and others. The drive was held under the guidance and supervision of IKG PTU. The selection process included an online aptitude test on the basis of which the company shortlisted 27 students for the next round. The students will be recruited on the annual stipend of Rs. 1.44 lakh p.a.
The aptitude test round was conducted by the Company Officials Mr. Ravi Kaushal and Mr. Bhupinder Singh. They  briefed the students about the company’s profile and made them aware that the company sought devoted and talented job-seekers.” He said, “IKG PTU and CT Group of Institutions has always provided us the best employees’, this is the reason we are conducting this joint campus placement drives with their association.”
As, Jindal Electricals started as manufacturing unit of automatic voltage stabilizer & voltage regulators in 1967 in Ludhiana. Over the years, their constant dedication towards excellence has helped them attain expertise in production of various products like rectifiers & servo voltage stabilizers, Leading Suppliers of transformers India & power control solutions. Students who participated in the placement drive were overwhelmed. They said that the selection team was encouraging. Er. Navdeepak Sandhu (Deputy Director, Corporate Relations & Alumni, IKG PTU) said, “We are keen to organize such placement drives with an objective to create ample job opportunities for the students from different streams. CT Group of Institutions has been very supportive with us in making us fulfill our aspirations.”
Exclaimed over the thunderous response, S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) motivated students to keep on working hard and remain prepared for the important assignments through the company. He emphasized that with the aim of providing the best employment experience to our students, we are grooming them and striding hard to put the efforts. He also thanked the IK Gujral Punjab Technical University for their commendable support.
