Jalandhar 27 November (Jaswinder Azad)- The non teaching employees of all the colleges, aided and private, will be on strike on 28th November under the banner of Private Colleges Non-Teaching Employees Union, Punjab (Aided & Unaided) for the long pending genuine demands of the Union. State Persident of the Union Sh. Madan Lal Khullar told that the union has raised their genuine demands so many times before the State Govt. The main notification of revised grade pay/scales w.e.f. 1st December, 2011, lifting of ban for the recruitment of Non-teaching employees in aided colleges. The President stated that the State Govt. has granted Pay Parity to the Non-Teaching Staff w.e.f. 01/09/1978. On the basis of the pay parity the Govt. implemented pay and allowances to the said staff from time to time. But the government has not released the notifications of same. Mr. Khullar emphasized for releasing of notification of enhanced Medical Allowance and House Rent Allowance w.e.f. 01/08/2009, implementation of Earned Leave and Leave Encahsment to the Non-Teaching Employees of the affiliated college of GNDU, 4:9:14 step-up increment, CCA, Rural Allowance, Pension and Gratuity to the Non-teaching employees of the aided colleges of the state.
He further stated that the non teaching employees of the colleges of district Jalandhar will stage dharna in front of Apeejay college of fine arts against the attitude of Principal Sucharita Sharma on the same day. On this occasion, Vice President PCNTEU Pb. Mr. Bhupinder Thakur, Joint Secretary Mr. Lakhwinder Singh, Co convener DAV CCC Punjab Ravi Maini were also present.
He further stated that the non teaching employees of the colleges of district Jalandhar will stage dharna in front of Apeejay college of fine arts against the attitude of Principal Sucharita Sharma on the same day. On this occasion, Vice President PCNTEU Pb. Mr. Bhupinder Thakur, Joint Secretary Mr. Lakhwinder Singh, Co convener DAV CCC Punjab Ravi Maini were also present.
