Industrial Meet for B.Voc Textile Design & Apparel Technology at KMV

Jalandhar 13 December (Jaswinder Azad)- At Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, the Heritage Institution where linking job placement opportunities with academics and practical training is a constant endeavours industrial meets are often organized for the purpose.  Recently an industry meet was organized by B.Voc Textile Design & Apparel Technology.  The key thrust area for the same was reviewing of B.Voc Textile Design & Apparel Technology Syllabus/ curriculum to suit the requirement of the industry. This would make the students skilled and increase their employability. The industry would be able to give better opportunities to the students.  During the meet excellent inputs were received from famous fashion designers and industrialists.  Among the fashion designers Mr. Punit Arora (Designer Studio, Jalandhar) and Mr. Siddharth Kakkar (Kakkar Studio, Jalandhar) and Mr. Deepak Singh (One Design Solutions, Delhi) were present.
Six industrialists Mr. Suresh Kumar Todi from Shree Ent. Pvt. Ltd. Ludhiana, Mr. Ajit Lakra from Superfine Knitters Ludhiana, Mr. Anoop Anand AG’s International (Jalandhar), Mr. Mukesh Kumar Guru Kirpa Garment (Jalandhar), and Mrs. Jyoti Bhatia of Raja Sahib Kollections Jalandhar gave their invaluable suggestions. They also signed MoU with the college. Principal Dr. Mrs. Atima Sharma Dwivedi said that the scenario of education is fast changing and moving towards making the youth skill oriented, hence increasing their employabilityis a very positive change.  She congratulated the team & members of Kaushal Kendra for having organized such a fruitful event.
