Jalandhar 22 December (Jaswinder Azad)- In order to arouse the social consciousness of students and provide them with the opportunity to work creatively and constructively, the NSS unit of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organizes seven days camp at Village Gakhal and in today’s camp the common diseases related to women, diabetes and blood pressure have been checked. The camp envisages the quality of integrity among the students. Under the brilliant guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs. ) Ajay Sareen, volunteers have worked under Swatch Bharat Abhiyan at Govt. Senior secondary School, Gakhal. The volunteers performed various cleanliness activities as they whitewashed the bark of trees, cleaned the campus of the school as well as its surroundings. They also inspired the students to maintain the neatness of the school.
During this medical camp, the Incharge of Youth Red Cross Department of HMV Dr. Aarti Sharma has diagnosed the medical problems of women of the village and also suggested medicines to them. During the evening session, the volunteers showed their talent by participating in declamation competition. These activities were carried out under the guidance of Mrs. Veena Arora and Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur, the programme officers. On this event, Miss Harmanu Paul, Ms. Ramandeep Kaur and Ms. Rashmi Sethi were also present.
