Jalandhar 21 December (Jaswinder Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organizes 7-day NSS Camp under the directions of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. On the second day of this camp NSS volunteers have visited Governor Senior Secondary School, Gakhal. The volunteers worked under Swatch Bharat Abhiyan and they cleaned the school playgrounds, painted the trees and wrote inspiring slogans. The faculty members of Cosmetology department of the college have given knowledge to the students regarding skills oriented courses and their scope in near future. They have also suggested them about the caring of the skin and home remedies for the protection of skin.
Dr. Ekta Khosla, Associate Prof. in Chemistry delivered lecture on the topic Adulteration in food items. The volunteers have participated in it with enthusiasm and vigour and taken a vowed to be fully active in social work. During the evening session, Mr. Kulwinder Singh Gakhal, the reputed personality has delivered motivational and inspiring lecture and imparted knowledge regarding various competitive exams after graduation and postgraduate. Miss Ramanpreet Kaur, renowned media personality as well as a social activist delivered a lecture on the topic Role of Youth in Healthy Society.
The students have completed their today’s project efficiently with guidelines of the Programme Officer of NSS Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur, Mrs. Veena Arora. On this event, Ms. Harmanu Paul, Ms. Prabhjot and Ms. Rashmi Sethi were also present.
