Jalandhar 21 December (Jaswinder Azad)- At Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Heritage Institution, Jalandhar imparting quality education & training linked directly to quick employability is a ceaseless endeavor. Bachelors of Vocation in Management and Secretarial Practices (B.Voc) is a one of the many skill oriented courses offered by KMV, Jalandhar. It is designed to supplement the theoretical aspect with practical exposure to what is happening in industries and computer centres. A seven days workshop was organized for the students of B.Voc in Management & Secretarial Practices (Sem-II). The resource persons for the workshop were Mr. Vishal Sharma and Mr. Suminder Singh. During the workshop all the students operated computers and were taught about Basic Component of Computer, Installation of Operating System on Real Device (Windows 7 installation), Concepts of Virtualization (Installation of Windows in Virtual Softwares like Virtual Box) and Installation of Application Software like MS Office, Google Chrome etc. The resource person Mr. Suminder Singh elaborated very lucidly on topics like System Hacking (Password breaking, how to control someone’s PC using backdoor), Windows Password Breaking (Creation of Hidden Folders & Folder Locks). He also taught Animation (Adobe Photoshop and Flash). In Adobe Photoshop, the basic tools and procedure of working on layers and in Flash was the main thrust. The other key areas covered were creation of Animation and Usage of Key Frames.
Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the Kaushal Kendra for having organized such a useful workshop. The positive and enthusiastic response of the students made for observe that such workshops would help the students to a long way towards their academic and professional growth.
