Jalandhar 21 January (Gurkirat Singh)- Eklavya school Jalandhar celebrated 68th Republic day on 25th jan, 17 with pomp and zeal .The school was decorated with tri colour althrough. The chief guests Ms. Seema Handa, Director Eklavya School inaugurated the celebration with flag hoisting. The School Manager Ms. Sapna Bakshi hoisted school flag and Ms. Dimpal Sharma hoisted Soutes & Guides flag. Harneetpal of 8 Std compared the whole event. Mehak (5) highlighted the importance of the day in her speech. Middle School students sung patriotic song ‘Chandan hai is desh ki maati…’ And students of Primary School sung ‘Sabse Pyara Desh Hmara….’ In their melodious voices. Students of Primary & Middle School mesmerised the audience with their dance performance. Discussion on Republic Day & fundamental rights of Indian citizens were done in the classes. Children were told to listen the speech which will be delivered on the national channel by the The President of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee. The significance of Parade was also highlighted. Various activities like quiz, rally, enactment, discussion were done in the whole school. Children were also given certificates for participating enthusiastically in all the activities. At the end Director of the school Ms. Seema Handa congratulated everybody on this auspicious day. Ms. Sapna Bakshi Manager of Eklavya School and Ms. Dimpal sharma Principal of the school advised the students to be good citizens, wished them to be successful and raise our nation high.
