Jalandhar 13 January (Jaswinder Azad)- Vittiya Saksharta Abhiyan (VISAKA) workshop was hosted by Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering & Technology, Phagwara on 13th of Jan, 2017, in collaboration with I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University and HDFC Bank. This workshop was attended by the Students of Ramgarhia Institute of Engineering and Technology & Ramgarhia Institute of Management and Advance studies, Phagwara. Dr. Naveen Dhillon, Principal, RIET, welcomed all the dignities, students and faculty members and motivated all for becoming cash less and go digital in today’s less cash economy. Mr. Anubrat S. Dadhwal, Manager Digital Commerce and Mr. Amit Kumar, Relationship Manager, HDFC Bank were the key speakers of the day. They awared the participants regarding the procedures of e-banking, net-banking, mobile-banking, UPI, Missed call banking, USSD, AEPS and Payzapp. Economy of India is becoming less cash economy so forget cash and go digital is success mantra for easy going life. They also shared their valuable thoughts with the participants about the securities and safe use of net-banking. Dr. Vyoma Bhogal Dhatt, Director, REI, Phagwara advised the students to be a part of this campaign and to aware the people in their respective villages/towns regarding the benefits of digital payments.
