Jalandhar 30 January (Jaswinder Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College further enhanced its growing reputation in the field of Music and Cultural activities when the Music Department of the college organized a musical program in which prominent Tabla Master Sri Prashant Gaekwad and Flute artist Sri Nand Kumar Dhingra graced the occasion with their valuable presence and shared their thoughts with the students of the department. College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra along with Prof. Sukhdev Singh, Head Department of Music welcomed the artists with bouquets. Dr. GS Samra informed the gathered audience about the prolific achievements of Sri Prashant Gaekwad most notably being his world record of hours of tabla performance and also highlighted the various recognition held by Sri Nand Kumar Dhingra in the same field. He also duly mentioned the fact that exposure received by the budding artists of the college from such dignitaries will go a long way in their careers. Students of the department also gained some valuable lessons from the esteemed artists in this program which was also witnessed by Prof. Pavittar Singh and Prof. Daljit Singh along with other faculty members.
