Jalandhar 30 January (Jaswinder Azad)- In the morning assembly at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, the Father of Nation, Mohan Dass Karamchand Gandhi was remembered on his Martyr's Day. Coordinator, Centre for Gandhian Studies, HMV, Dr. Rajiv Kumar addressed the students and said that the Martyr's day of Mahatma Gandhi is also known as Sarvodaya Day. He told the students that Mahatma Gandhi had done so much work for Leprosy patients i.e. why this day is also known as "World Leprosy Day", Vice Principal of the college Dr. Jyoti Mittu addressed the students and said that we can learn so many things from the life of Mahatma Gandhi. On this occasion, Dean Academics, Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal and other staff members were also present. On the Martyr's day of Mahatma Gandhi, two minutes silence was also observed.
