CT Group of Institutions commemorates Radio Day with a workshop

Mrs. Seema Soni addressed the students and traced the history of radio and discussed the growing trend of radio in India especially the private radio channel.
Jalandhar 13 February (Jaswinder Azad)- The Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of CT Institute of Higher Studies, Jalandhar organised a workshop on Radio in the premises of the CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur campus on the occasion of World Radio Day. The workshop began with floral felicitations of a renowned private FM station headed by Mrs. Seema Soni, Programmming Head.  She conducted the session about voice culture, script writing and qualities of becoming a successful Radio Jockey. She elaborated on the techniques of sound editing, production of jingles and advertisements. The workshop was conducted primarily to understand the different genres of radio and their growing importance in the present scenario. She also traced the history of radio and discussed the growing trend of radio in India especially the private radio channel.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) and Dr. P.S. Bedi (Director Campus, CT Group of Institutions) was also present on the occasion.  They congratulated the department of Journalism & Mass Communication for organising the workshop and expressed that such workshops provide practical exposure to students which help them to shape their future career prospects.
