Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organized a ‘Ru-Ba-Ru’ program

Jalandhar 4 March (Jaswinder Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar further enhanced its growing reputation in the field of Punjabi Cultural activities when the Post Graduate Department of Punjabi organized a ‘Ru-Ba-Ru’ program in which prominent Punjabi Poet Padma Shri Dr. Surjit Patar, Mrs. Bhupinder Paatar and their son and emerging artist Manraj Paatar graced the occasion with their valuable presence. College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra along with Dr. Kulwant Singh Sandhu, Head Department of Punjabi and S. Karamjit Singh Rai welcomed the guests with bouquets.
Padam Shri Dr. Surjit Paatar informed the gathered audience about the prolific facets of poetry composition and also highlighted the various instances of daily life that contribute to the poetic process and presented some to his selective compositions as illustrations to his thoughts. On the same stage his son Manraj Paatar, along with his team eloquently lent his voice to the same compositions much to the delight of the audience.
Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra duly mentioned the fact that knowledge regarding the Punjabi culture and values imparted by Dr. Paatar to the audience and particularly the students of the college from such dignitaries will go a long way in creating a better atmosphere in the state as well as the country. Prof. Gopal Singh Buttar delivered the vote of thanks to conclude the program which was also witnessed by Head of various departments, staff members and students of the college. The stage on this occasion was managed by Dr. Sukhdev Singh Nagra.
