Jalandhar 12 April (Gurkirat Singh)- Baisakhi, a festival symbolizing prosperity, harvest and thrift, was celebrated with splendor at full swing in the premises of Innokids. Young budding actors from std. II presented historical scenes depicting importance of Baisakhi from Punjab History.Colorfully attired and highly spirited children from KG danced at the heart throbbing beat of dhol. “Punjabi Fair”, displaying rich cultural glimpses of Punjab was the attraction of the day. In the fair the stalls of Bangles, Prandas were laid out. The students depicted the sight of massacre of Jallianwala Baghwhich stole the show and each spectator empathized with the emotions depicted. The teachers emphasized on the importance, reason and mode ofBaisakhiCelebration–the Harvest Festival. A special assembly was conducted where the speech was delivered on the life and works of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar- the father of the Constitution.The students wrote a paragraph about Dr. Ambedkar.The Director Principal – Mr. Dheeraj Banati mentioned that objective behind the celebration of such festivals is to make them connect with the rich Indian Culture. The celebration ended up with the Bhangra by the Innocent kids.
