Jalandhar 6 April (Gurkirat Singh)- Ms. Alisha Chauhan was on Thursday crowned as the Miss Jalandhar in a glittering grand finale of the beauty pageant ‘Miss. Jalandhar’ organised by CT Group of Institutions at its Shahpur Campus. The First Runners-Up Miss India title went Ms. Saaz Malhotra while Ms. Khusbu was crowned as the Second Runners-Up of the event. The title holder of Miss. Jalandhar was felicitated with the prize money of Rs. 51,000 while first runner up with Rs 11,000 and second runner up with Rs 51,00. The event was judged by Mrs. India Ms. Jasmine Toor Bhatara, Miss India Glamour Preetika Saini, Renowned Fashion Designer Mr. Punit Arora and International Interior Decorator Nancy Randhawa. Mr. Dilpreet Virk was the Director and Choreographer, Mr. Gurpreeet Singh was the Assistant Director and Host while Ms. Arshpreet Singh was the Assistant Director of the event. Dr. Rohit Sarin (Chairman of Hotel Management Board of Studies by IKG PTU and Director, CT Institute of Hospitality & Management) informed that the judgment for the grand event included 20 contestants those were judged on the basis of following rounds; Traditional Dress and Western Wear from them top 10 were shortlisted and further judged by presenting a talent for maximum 3 minutes. The top five contestants moved on to the Question/Answer segment. After this complete session, the final results were announced. The auditions were conducted on the premises of HMV College, CT Shahpur and CT Maqsudan Campus where the grand beauty pageant saw the participation of more than 441 contestants. During that 60 contestants were shortlisted for Semi-Finale from which 20 for the Grand Finale event. The title holder was further judged on the basis of Traditional, Casual & Talent round etc. The judges also appreciated the performance of the contestants and the initiative taken by CT Group by providing a platform to the aspiring youngsters those who want to make their mark in the fashion industry. S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) and Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) congratulated the winners for the future. S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) said that this programme exhibited the hidden talent of the youngsters.
