Jalandhar 7 June (Gurkirat Singh)- Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus, Jalandhar today organized a Prayer Meeting to pay tribute to the founder of the Apeejay Group, Late Dr. Stya Paul, on the occasion of his Punya Tithi. Dr Stya Paul led the Apeejay Education Society to become one of the esteemed and renowned educational bodies of India with his futuristic insight, visionary attitude and missionary zeal. Unfazed by growing age Dr. Stya Paul was actively involved in helping Apeejay Education society break new grounds. Dr. Stya Paul was very fond of listening to hymns, bhajans and devotional music. Some of his favourite bhajans like “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram”, “Hey Ram Hey Ram”, “Itni Shakti Hummey Dena Daata”, “Allah Tero Naam” and couplets of Saint Kabir were played on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Director Dr. Rajesh Bagga said that Dr. Stya Paul was an educationist, industrialist, philosopher, freedom fighter and entrepreneur par excellence. Dr. Stya Paul had been an enterprising person, a strong disciplinarian, and a beacon light throughout his life. Endowed with indomitable spirits, our founder confronted the trials and tribulations like a valiant. Dr. Bagga shared various hues of the great life of this remarkable man, beginning with snippets from his childhood to the accomplishments of his youth. Dr. Bagga exhorted the members of staff to help realize the vision of Dr. Stya Paul by adopting his qualities like industriousness, fearlessness and truthfulness. The members of the staff paid homage to Late Dr, Stya Paul and committed themselves to the task of doing their best in the field of education for the welfare of the students. Everyone observed silence for sometime to pray for the noble soul. Prashad was distributed in the end.
