Jalandhar 25 September (Jaswinder Azad)- NSS unit and Political Science Department of DAV College Jalandhar celebrated NSS day. With the moto of 'cleanliness is the real service' 90 NSS volunteers and Youth Parliamentarians cleaned the college premises and also painted the tress while cutting their unwanted branches. NSS Co-ordinator Prof SK Midha told everyone the importance of NSS day and Clean India. He said till the time we wont be smart towards our society our country wont become smart either. College Principal Dr SK Arora said that we have to make dream of our PM of clean India come true. Cleanliness is the biggest service we can give back to our country. Dr Dinesh Arora said that every step for betterment of our nation cannot be taken govt only. As a citizen it is our duty to keep our country clean.Instead of blaming govt for everything we should take a step closer to be a better citizen. On NSS day essay writing competition was held on cleanliness is next to godliness. The whole program also covered the importance of handwash. On this one day camp Prof Rajan Sharma, Prof Meenu Sharma, Prof Bhuwan and Prof Pooja were present.
