HMV organized International Seminar on Nanotechnology

Jalandhar 10 August (Jaswinder Azad)- R.Venkataraman Chemical Society of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized an International Seminar on Nanotechnology : A Science beyond Barrier with Implications.  Dr. Mandeep Singh Bakshi from the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences, University of Wisconsin, USA was the resource person.  Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed the guest by presenting a planter.  Mrs. Deepshikha introduced Dr. Mandeep Singh Bakshi as an eminent scientist and educationist in the field of nanotechnology.  Dr. Mandeep Singh told that nanotechnology is the science of extremely small structure and has application in the field of energy, medicines and electronics that improved our life and environment.  He explained the use of nanotechnology is delivering drugs to the specific cells and repairing damaged tissues.  He not only explained the glamorous picture of nanotechnology but also explained the nanotoxicity in aquatic life, plant growth, human health and environment.  He concluded lecture by saying that nanotechnology is a scientific wonder of modern time but it comes with implications.  He also visited the department and interacted with faculty members.  He also gave suggestions for research work.  On this occasion, Head of department of Chemistry Dr. Neelam Sharma, Dr. Ekta Khosla, Mrs. Asha Gupta, Mrs. Deepshikha and other faculty members were also present.
