Jalandhar 4 October (Gurkirat Singh)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage Institution, Jalandhar Department of Journalism and Mass Communication organized a guest lecture on essentials of news copy. Ms. Rajeev Bhaskar, a senior Journalist and Editor, Punjab tribune.com was the guest speaker for the occasion. He addressed all the students of B.A (JMC) & B.Voc (Photography & Journalism). Mr. Rajeev Bhaskar during his interaction with the students illuminated extensively the basic important techniques of news writing. He illustrated amply with many good examples to make clear the importance of good language, vocabulary and proper structure of a news copy. Then Mr. Bhaskar moved on to the very vital role of print as well as electronic media in disseminating the essential information to the general public.During the interactive session many queries of the students were satisfied by the speaker. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated Head, Dept of Journalism & Mass Communication Dr. Rubal Kanozia for having organized such a fruitfull interaction with an active journalist. Dr. Rubal conveyed his warm regards and thanks to Mr. Rajeev Bhaskar for having spared valuable time for the young students.
