Jalandhar 1 November (Jaswinder Azad)- An impressive program on the occasion of Punjab Day was organized by Lyallpur Khalsa College. The program was presided over by Kulbir Singh Sanghera, son of eminent Freedom Fighter Bhagat Singh Bilga and the representative of Bharti Mazdoor Sangh, UK and Shaheed Udham Singh Memorial Trust Birmingham. College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra welcomed Mr. Sanghera to the college and recalled the contribution made by the Sanghera family to the cause of freedom struggle. Faculty members of the college actively participated in the constructive discussion regarding the current state of Punjabi language. Prof. Gopal Singh Buttar, Head, PG Department of Punjabi mentioned the role and commitment of Lyallpur Khalsa College towards the language of Punjabi. Kulbir Singh Sanghera also lauded the efforts of the college regarding the preservation of Punjabi language with such programs and events. Similar expectations were also put forward to the Government of Punjab. The chief guest was also honored with a souvenir. The stage was managed by Prof. Manjinder Singh Johal.
