International Conference on Social Issues on 2nd & 3rd February at HMV

Jalandhar 31 January (Jaswinder Azad)- The premier institution of North India, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya is going to organize 2-day International Conference on Contemporary Issues in Social Sciences on 2nd – 3rd February, 2018.  Conference Director Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen told that the objective of the conference is to provide exposure and opportunities to the faculty and students of UG and PG levels across the world to interact with experts on contemporary social issues.  The Chief Patron of the conference is President, DAV College Managing Committee Dr. Punam Suri, Padmashri and the patrons are Justice (Retd.) Sh. N.K. Sud, Vice President, DAVCMC and Dr. Satish Kumar Sharma, Director (Colleges), DAVCMC.  Conference Conveners Dr. Ashmeen Kaur and Ms. Shallu Batra told that the keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Daya Singh Sandhu, Director of Research for Doctoral Programmes at Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, Kentucky.  The chief guest of the inaugural session will be Prof. S.S. Johl, Padam Bhushan Awardee, Chancellor Central University of Punjab and Guest of Honour will be Prof. Dr. Badrinaryanan Gopalkrishnan, Economist, University of Washington Seattle, USA.  Prof. Vandana Sharma, Former Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Punjabi University, Patiala and Prof. Navdeep Singh Tung, Deptt. of Psychology, GNDU Amritsar will also be present.  In the valedictory session, chief guest will be Prof. Davinder Singh Ladher from Canada and Guest of Honour Dr. Shruti Shukla, State Coordinator Guidance and Bureau-cum-Deputy Director, SCERT.  Prof. Suninder Tung, Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, GNDU Amritsar, Dr. Mohd. Khalid from Panjab University Chandigarh and Dr. Anil Dutta Mishra from Allahabad will also be present.  In six technical sessions, research papers will be read and social issues will be discussed.
