A career counseling session was organized for students at DAV Collegiate School. In this session, more than hundred students from class XI and XII were included. Session was organized by the College's Commerce Forum. The career counseling program was inaugurated by Vice Principal Prof V K Sareen, College Registrar Prof. Arun Mehra and President of Commerce Forum, Prof. Isha Sehgal Mahajan. Session was conducted by eminent CS Amit Vinayak (Chairman, Jalandhar Chapter of Indian Institute of Company Secretaries of India).
Addressing the students on this occasion Prof. V. K. Sarin said, "We should recognize the hidden talent within ourselves, because earning jobs and living in the name of a career is not the only life." Your own development is very important in the name of the career, because if you do not have development then in the area you are working in, you will continue to do a routine job, your success will never succeed. In such a way, you can work hard in a career in which you build your career. Do not make a career as seen or seen in the market. If this were to happen, then were neither Sachin Tendulkar, nor A R. Rahman, nor Aamir Khan nor Chetan Bhagat.
While counseling the Chartered Accountancy and Company Secretary , CS Amit Vinayak while addressing the students, said, Chartered Accountancy and Company Secretary Courses have become highly useful under the new economic policy of the government and liberal attitude towards foreign companies. The specialty of these two courses is that these courses can be started immediately after the 10 + 2 examination, while other courses (MBA, MCA, MCM, P. SC, Bank PO) can be done only after graduation examination.
Explaining the importance of the course of the Company secretary, C. S. Vinayak said that the CS training is considered to be very important in the field of prestigious and career building. Basically it is operated with a non-conventional method and regular classes do not have this provision. Students have to pass paper according to the schedule at each time. Paper is usually based on financial accounting, business law, tax law, labor law, secretarial management, banking etc. He further said, The course can be completed in three to four years, provided that you pass all your papers . Their work is mainly related to the implementation of corporate law. The admission in this course can be done at the Foundation level after 10 + 2, while after graduation, it will be done at Executive Program level. After this there is a level of professional program.
Talking about the importance of chartered Accountancy , Amit said that the CA is a specialist course in auditing finance and tax related consulting and managerial services. This course is run by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. For become CA, there are three stairs to be built. Foundation Examination, Intermediate Examination and Final Examination Any student of any faculty can pass the Foundation Examination 12th standard. Apart from this, even before the results of Class XII, students can be registered on provisional basis. He said, at the intermediate examination, the minimum age of 18 years is required and the CA Minimum age of 21 years is required to be created. In this course, both theoretical and practical training have been included. Therefore, in order to get practical training, every student has to conduct internships for 3 years in any business chartered accountant.
