Students learn horse riding, swimming, meditation, carpentry in summer camp
Jalandhar 11 June (Jaswinder Azad)- Summer is the time for children to take time off from the regular chore of going to school and getting down to the curriculum. So, the summer camp is, in another way, an opportunity to learn certain life skills while having fun in vacations.
CT World School planned an innovative two day summer camp including a host of activities to hone the artistic skills of the children and at the same time improving their physical and mental fitness. The school offered endless options from yoga, meditation, horse riding, swimming, carpentry, art & craft, pottery, personality development sessions to photo shoot for the children. Teachers were also the part of these activities and learnt a lot about life skills via meditation and yoga.
Children were taught to strengthen their motor skills, build balance, leadership qualities, and enhance confidence. The children were educated on how to lead a healthy and active lifestyle, learn to love to eat healthy food and how to be confident about their bodies which will help in developing personality and mental fortitude in them.
Mrs. Madhu Sharma, Principal CT World School remarked that, "The formative years are very important, as children learn very quickly and also show interest in various activities. Normal education are structured classes but in hobby sessions they get exposure to a lot of things and pick up what they like and express themselves. This would help the child in becoming more creative."
S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, Mr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, Mr. Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman encouraged the students and said that students remain engaged in academics throughout the year so during the vacations, we wanted to hone their hobbies.
