Jalandhar 25 July (Gurkirat Singh)- Keeping this in mind and to inculcate the good food habits among the children Eklavya School celebrated the ‘Khana Khzana Week’. During this whole week the focus was more on good food habits and healthy way of eating which included wash your hands before and after eating food, avoid junk food, include fruits and vegetables in your daily diet, drink plenty of water, avoid eating uncovered food etc. A puppet show was organized to show the difference between healthy and unhealthy food as this kind of visual activities leave a positive impact on the young minds. One day all the students brought sandwiches and they were told the proper use of fork and knife while eating. In general routine also students are encouraged to bring the food which can be eaten with fork and knife, on Wednesday. They are also taught the table manners. A video was shown to the kids about the healthy and unhealthy food habits and the proper way of having food after spreading cloth napkin on the table, A fancy dress competition was also organized in which the students came dressed as different fruits and vegetables and explained the importance of those.
The students were encouraged to:-
Think Positively. Exercise Daily. Eat healthy. Work hard. Stay Strong. Worry Less. Be Happy.
The Chairman Mr. J.K. Gupta, Director Mrs. Seema Handa, Principal Mrs. Dimpal Sharma and Administrator Mrs. Arvinder Kaur graced the occasion and appreciated the efforts done by the students.
