APEEJAY GETS RS. 5 CRORE GRANT FOR KAUSHAL KENDRA (UGC)

Jalandhar 10 August (Jaswinder Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts has received a grant of Rs. 5 Crore from UGC for setting up Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra in the campus. The endeavor will create different vocational and job-oriented courses for the youth. The 5 Courses that will be started with this grant are:
M.Voc Theatre & Television Production
B.Voc Data Science
B.Voc Health Care Management
B.Voc Beauty and Wellness
B.Voc Product Design Management & Entrepreneurship.
These courses will begin right from the current session, i.e. 2018-19 under National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF). The college is already offering 4 B.Voc. courses viz, B.Voc. (Theatre and Stage Craft), B.Voc. (Sound Technology), B.Voc (Contemporary forms of Dance) and B.Voc (E-Commerce and Digital Marketing. The youngsters will receive skill based education that will make them self-employed. Expressing her jubilation, College Principal Dr. Sucharita congratulated UGC Committee Members Dr. Kewal Krishan, Dr. Monica Arora, Ms. Rekha and Ms. Garima Arora's tireless efforts. She exhorted the youth to join these skill oriented courses in order to add cutting edge to their career.
