Jalandhar 9 August (Jaswinder Azad)- With the intent of Corporate Social Responsibility, CT Group of Institutions organized ‘Blood Donation Camp’ under the guidance & supervision of Civil Hospital Jalandhar and Indian Medical Association at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur and Maqsudan campus.
During the camp, more than 400 students & faculty and Staff members donated their blood. A contingent of 10 Team Members comprising of doctors and technicians from Civil Hospital, IMA- Jalandhar branch & CT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences contributed effectively under the guidance of Dr. Gagandeep Singh, In-charge Blood Bank, Civil Hospital. The students were counseled for safety & significance of Blood Donation in societal interest and also were given refreshment after donating a unit of Blood.
Inaugurating the Camp, S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman CT Group of Institutions appreciated the contributions from Civil Hospital and endorsed that in addition to providing regular education in CT Institutions, we also instilled values in the students in societal contribution so that they understand its need in the society and shoulder the responsibility in developing the Nation. This camp and seminar were organized under the scheduled activities consented under the duly signed MOU with the Civil Hospital, Jalandhar.
Mr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions appraised the gathering with his motivational speech and said donating blood is a lifesaving attempt.
Mr. Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman CT Group of Institutions applauded the management skills of students and faculty for organizing this Blood Donation Camp in a well-planned manner. He also lauded the motivation of students for their highly enthusiastic contribution in organizing this camp and making it a success.
