KMV Organizes Orientation Program for the Students

Jalandhar 2 August (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Heritage & Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar organized Orientation Programme for the new students. The program aimed at introducing various aspects of autonomy and various innovative programs to the students. The principal of KMV Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the newcomers on becoming part of the historic institution. Madam Principal acquainted the new students with the rich legacy of KMV. Kanya Maha Vidyalaya is one of the 19 institutions in the country to be awarded the Heritage status. While addressing the students Madam Principal said that higher education is very important in one’s life, as it enables one to take decisions, realize one’s potential, develop one’s personally, showa the direction to find one’s goals and how to achieve goals. Madam Principal said that for the holistic growth of students it is essential that the students should take active  part in all the innovative and value added programs being offer on the campus. Dr. Madhumeet (Dean, Student Welfare) through her presentation ‘Know your KMV’ gave detailed information about the KMV legacy, the vision of KMV, the facilities available for students, scholarships on campus placements, infrastructure, showing student support system, value added programs being offered on the campus and the advantages of gaining autonomy. This was followed by a presentation by the Department of Student Welfare team Ms. Navjot student of M.A. Sem. 3rd and Ms. Priya student of B.A. Sem 3rd threw light on the various clubs cells running under the aegis of the Department of student Welfare. They motivated and invited the students to be members of various clubs and societies as it would hone their  talent.
