Jalandhar 2 August (Jaswinder Azad)- The Music department of Apeejay College of Fine Arts celebrated Guru Poornima glorifying the guru-shishya parampara in a typical Indian tradition. The resource person for the said celebration was the honored researcher, vastly experienced teacher and first-rate scholar of Vocal Music Dr. CL Verma. He inspired the students to respect the age-old tradition of timeless values of Indian culture which honours guru as the ultimate source of all learning. Elaborating the precious ties between a student and teacher, Dr. Verma said that this relation is pure & pious and above board. He further orated that literature and music are two inter-related and inter-connected streams. He presented a mesmerizing raag in collaboration with Dr. Vivek Verma from Music Vocal Department. Also, he politely answered all the queries of the budding and curious artists of the College. Principal Dr. Sucharita highly appreciated the interaction and paid gratitude to Dr. Verma for his distinct presence. Dr. CL Verma glorified the contribution of Dr. Amita Mishra, Head, department of Music Vocal for the successful completion of the event.
