KMV VOW group launched a Nutrition campaign

Jalandhar 7 September (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya - the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, Jalandhar's department of Journalism & Mass Communication have launched a Nutrition campaign. The campaign has been launched by the Voice of Women group (VOW) of the department. During the campaign, the members of the VOW group Anu, Janvi, Dipanshu, Amanat, Himali, Tanya, Garima, Ruhanika, Arushi and Roshni shared information related with anemia among the students. VOW group told the students to know about their blood groups, the various symptoms of anemia and also motivated them to take a healthy diet in order to increase their blood level.  Along with this, the members of VOW also inquired from the students about their eating habits and they also prepared a diet chart for the students with the help of the experts from the Home science department. KMV Radio VOW that is running in the KMV campus also broadcasted various programmes related to anemia and healthy lifestyle throughout the week to make the people aware about the anemia. It is pertinent to mention that the department of Journalism & Mass Communication has been running the Voice of Women social challenger group through which various awareness campaigns have been launched related to the various social issues of women.
College Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the efforts done by the VOW group of Journalism & Mass Communication department and averred that due to the lack of proper knowledge about their health, students have to face certain problems in their future, therefore, these types of campaigns plays a vital role in creating an awareness among the students.
