KMV’s Students of Electronics Dept. Visits Doordarshan, Jalandhar

Jalandhar 3 May (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar, practical exposure in the process of teaching and learning is a routine affair, in this context recently an educational trip to Doordarshan was organised by the Dept. of Electronics. Experts and organizers who accompanied the students elaborated on how programmes were recorded and relayed in extensive detail. They also explained the various principles and techniques with which the T.V. transmitters worked. The students also learned about video-mixing and sound mixing, in addition they also learned about simple signals and modulated signals. They were also given knowledge about how the signals are received and transmitted via carrier waves. The Kendra has replaced the heavy equipments with modern technology, which is comparatively compact and efficient. The practical exposure greatly enthused and encouraged the students, it was an eye-opener to see the theory they studied in their classrooms being practically applied in daily life. Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the Dept. of Electronics for organising these types of educational trips. She said that these educational trips are very helpful to enhance the practical knowledge of the students.
