Jalandhar 25 October (Jaswinder Azad)- Seminar was organised by The Punjab State AIDS Control Society, Youth Services District Level Committee (Red Ribbon) of Jalandhar in Punjab.
The seminar was started by the welcome of principals and teachers from various colleges. Initially, Captain Dhami and Prof. S. K. Middha welcomed Principal S. K. Mahajan, Principal Dr. Sarita Verma, Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen, Principal Dr. Suman Tandon, Shri Amandeep, Shri Dharampal, Prof. Sukhwinder Kumar, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Prof. Navneet Sharda, Prof. Jasveer, Prof. Deepak Mehta, Prof. Michael Rao, Prof. Rajiv Sharma, Prof. Kuljir Atwal, Prof. Bawa Chopra, Prof. SS Randhawa, Dr. Sameer Sharma with bouquets. Principal Dr. S.K. Arora and all the principals performes ritual of flame ignition.
After this, the girls' group of DAV College presented a wonderful song to welcome guests. Prof. Lakhvir Singh made everyone aware about HIV AIDS. He told how this disease can spread and what are the misconceptions about the disease in people. He told that this disease is due to re-injection of any injections impaired or coming into contact with other blood in the infected blood. Therefore, we should refrain from contacting the blood of other people.
Kumari Megha shared her views on this occasion and said that HIV is not an irreparable disease, but it can happen by somebody. People need to be careful. And blood should be treated immediately when it is infected.
After this, Principal of DAV College Dr. S.K. Arora said that there are seminars for such conscious work in DAV and it is a matter of pride for us that we are discussing the ideas about preventing AIDS from the society. This is a commendable work for the society because it will make people aware. He thanks all the guest principals and teachers.
Apart from this, Principal Dr. S.K. Arora honored all the principals and teachers who came in the seminar with a trophy certificate.
Captain Dhami told all the teachers about their responsibilities and he shared the plans for future events with everyone. Coordinator and NSS President Prof. S.K. Middha said that they will create a chain of students who will make the society aware. In the end, he thanked all dignitaries who came there.
