In Researchers Per Capita income India struggles at 36th rank while Finland secures the 1st rank

Jalandhar 3 June (Jaswinder Azad)- To enrich and enlighten the faculty from various engineering institutions globally in the diverse fields that shall definitely help in bridging the gap between the industry and academia, CT Institute of Technology (CTIT), Shahpur, Jalandhar under the patronage of CT Group of Institutions, IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) and Indian National Science Academy (INSA) has organized two days International Conference on Sciences, Engineering & Technical Innovations (ICSETI).
The major objective was to provide an opportunity for industry professionals, researchers, scientists, engineers, technologists, planners, managers, innovators, policy makers, students and academicians to present their finding and have intellectual deliberations on emerging technologies. In this mega ICSETI, as many as 750 research contributions were received from delegates out of them only 279 were accepted by the peer review committee and were published.
The research contributions were presented by the participants from across the world. The Chief Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Jaspal Singh Sandhu (Secretary, University Grants Commission, New Delhi) delivered the keynote address at the conference which was very useful and informative for everyone in general and for engineering fraternity in particular. He also shared the positives and negatives of the technology, “Transferring scholarships directly into the accounts of students through technological use by UGC has reduced the numbers of redresses in large number. At the same time, technology has made us lazy, unhealthy and addicted to it.”
Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu (Dean Academics and International Collaborations, IKG PTU Jalandhar) presented the plenary session on ‘Innovation & Invention’ at the inaugural day of the conference. He said, “Technical Innovation is a never ending spiral. It is must for life which should also be continued to think, execute and get results for life.”
Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu said, “International Conference is an annual event of CT Group of Institutions which showcases the research outcomes of the rigorous scholarly work done by Researchers and Academicians which encompasses celebrated speakers sharing Knowledge & Global Practices. The conference lays emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship which is considered as the motor of the economy in the modern knowledge-based society. I truly appreciate the educational institutions for organizing this wonderful event and for giving podium to many.”
The technical sessions were presented by Dr. N.C. Kothiyal (NIT, Jalandhar), Dr. B.S. Kaith (NIT, Jalandhar), Dr. NK Ralhan, Director, Eternal University and others. Well renowned scholars Dr. Sachin Kumar (Deputy Director/Scientist, Organizing Secretary, ICRABR-2016, Biochemical Conversion Division Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of Bio-Energy, Kapurthala), Dr. S.S. Dhami (Professor, Department of M.E, NITTR, Chandigarh), Dr. Birajashish Pattnaiak (Director, CEC, Mohalli) and others are witnessed the wonderful event.
Distinguish National & International Professors, Directors and well renowned scholars including Dr. Ajay Kumar Mishra and Prof. Shivani Mishra from Department of Nano Technology, University of South Africa, Dr. Lalit Awasthi (Director, Atal Bihar Vajpayee Institute, Shimla), Dr. Ajay Sharma (Director, NIT, New Delhi) were the keynote speakers of the International Conference. The address was very useful and informative for everyone in general and specially for the engineering faculty.
Earlier, a special address was given by Dr. P.S. Bedi (Director, CT Group of Institutions) said, “It is our privilege to invite dignitaries for Plenary Talk & Session Chair, so that the participants from about 100 institutes nationwide & abroad learnt and get direction from the experiences as well as expertise of dignitaries presented.”
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) said, “The deliberation and ideas of experts would definitely contribute in enlightening the scope of science & technology pertaining to globalization of Technical Education. The expertise would be the guiding foot-prints for many to make a world class representation of Education System and Educational Excellence.”
