More than 3000 newly admitted students attended the programme
Jalandhar 1 August (Jaswinder Azad)- The Orientation Programme for the first year Under Graduate and Post Graduate students of CT Group of Institutions for the academic year 2016-17 was organized at Shahpur Campus on Monday. Nearly 3000 newly admitted students attended the orientation programme that was studded with the presence of eminent educationists and industry experts. Mr. Narender Agarwal (Master Facilitator), S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions), Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) and Dr. P.S. Bedi (Campus Director, CT Group of Institutions) in the presence of other members of the management, faculty and staff inaugurated the event.
Mr. Narender Agarwal (Master Facilitator) said, “We believe that skills are the driving force in the country’s development.” He encouraged young minds to explore and educate themselves with new ideas instead of just mugging up the theory. Always try to come first, be innovative and to avoid awkwardness or hesitation in order to achieve success in life.” He motivated students to never step back but always believe in your skills and explore new arenas by using them.
During an induction ceremony, students were also addressed by the Dr. P.S. Bedi (Campus Director, CT Group of Institutions), Mr. Navdeep Singh Thind (Dean (Academics), CT Group of Institutions), Mr. Abhishek Soni (Deputy Director, CCPC, CT Group of Institutions), Heads of the departments and members of the faculty. In this interactive session, the students were introduced, in batches from the college facilities, Policies and Procedures, E-Governance facilities, placement drives to On-line resources, scholarship schemes, presentation, events, visits etc. Special teams have constituted consisting of faculty members and senior students who will be on rounds to check ragging. Strict action, according to university guidelines, will be taken against people indulging in ragging on Zero Tolerance Policy.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) urged the students to not get constrained by the lack of resources to achieve the goals in one’s life. “Success can be achieved only through dedication and perseverance. Ninety percent of the successful people are those who rose through the challenges and achieved their destination”, he said.
Balraj Singh Khera’s special talk on How to overcome fear
MTV X4 Roadies Winner Balraj Singh Khehra who is serving as Fitness Consultant at CT Group of Institutions shared the tips to overcome fear with the students. He said, “Each of us is running a race, but the goal shouldn’t be to finish first. Rather, the goal should be to finish well, to lead a meaningful life that you can be proud of and to make a difference in the lives of others.”
