CT Public School celebrates International Day of Charity & Teacher's Day with fervour

  • Students shared their philosophies and ideologies of the accomplished teacher
  • The teachers contributed money and bought fruits and gifts for the children of Prayas School, an NGO which caters to the needs of special children.
Jalandhar 5 September (Jaswinder Azad)- On account of Teacher's Day, the students of CT Public School expressed their love and gratitude to their teachers by conducting a special assembly. The school choir presented a melodious group song. The students of grade XII enthralled the audience with their dance performance. Himanshu and Dhimanshu mesmerized the spectators with a duet while Tejsv entertained everyone with his rhapsody.
Ms. Suman Rana (Principal, CT Public School) applauded the efforts of her team of teachers for the commendable achievements of the school. A heartfelt tribute was paid to the late President, scholar and educationist, Dr S Radhakrishnan, and the late Dr APJ Kalam. She urged the teachers to take motivation from the simple but great life of this great soul, who spent even the last moments of life on the podium. At this splendid juncture, students presented a play entitled, ‘Main Kalam Bolta Hoon’, based on the life journey of Dr Kalam. The play reflected how Kalam learnt from his teachers the value of time and hard work and realized the importance of a teacher in a student’s life.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) congratulated the teachers and inspired them to follow the teachings of Dr. Radhakrishnan. He said that 5th September is also celebrated as International Day of Charity. On this occasion, the teachers contributed money and bought fruits and gifts for the children of Prayas School, an NGO which caters to the needs of special children. This small gesture by CT Public School brought a smile on the faces of the inmates.
Results:-
The students of grade XI and XII impersonated as teachers and delivered lectures assigned for the day. The senior students were divided into three groups. The first group had to manage classes from grade VII to X. The second group had to look after classes IV to VI while the third group had to take care of classes I to III. These students were adjudged for their class control, confidence and teaching. In the first group, Sarah of grade XII stood first, while Mani of grade XI was second while Davinder Singh of grade XII was third. In the second group, Sourabh of grade X was first while Ankit of XI and Himanshu of grade XII were second and third respectively.  In the third group, Harpreet Kaur of XII was first while the second position was shared by Harjinder and Karanjit of XI. These students were awarded appreciation certificates.
