HMV organized a two-day workshop on "Drone (Quadcoptor)"

Jalandhar 26 September (Jaswinder Azad)- The Robotics Club of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized a two-day workshop on "Drone (Quadcoptor)".  The resource person of the workshop was Mr. Chetan Chaudhary, GM of Hoverbidrs, Blue Heaven Media Group. The workshop was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen. She motivated the students to take part in such innovative workshops.  This workshop helped the participants to develop a Drone (Quadcoptor) while understanding the various unmanned Aerial Vehicle.  Head of Comp. Sc. Deptt. Dr. Sangeeta Arora gave introduction of the workshop.  The workshop was conducted in four sessions. The sessions consisted of expert lectures on designing techniques of drones by technical experts – Mr. Anurag Shukla and Chanderkant Pandey.  The experts explained the mechanical and electronic tools used for designing a quadcoptor, their working mechanism, constructional techniques and applications. The students were introduced to basic components required to design a quadcopter and assembling of different components and other related systems. They were also shown demonstration videos. A hands on experience section was also conducted with students and live air show of drone was also shown.  Workshop coordinator Mrs. Urvashi Mishra presented a brief report of the workshop. In the last session, a quiz competition was organized on designing of drone.  Vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Meenakshi Syal, Dean Academics.  More than 200 students participated in this workshop.  On this occasion, Mr. Ravinder Jindal (Co-coordinator) and other members of the staff were also present.
